Supercharge your search with reactivesearch.io
appbase.io is now ReactiveSearch ๐
I'm excited to share that appbase.io is now ReactiveSearch. The change in the name reflects an evolution from being a base for app search to being a search UI dev tool.
ReactiveSearch offers industry leading open-source libraries and no-code builder for creating consumer and enterprise grade search UIs
Appbase started out as being the first app search provider for Elasticsearch. With the shift to ReactiveSearch, we're simultaneously sharpening the focus to search UI tooling as well as broadening the support for search engines beyond Elasticsearch.
How we are doing this
UI Libraries
The open-source Apache 2.0 licensed ReactiveSearch and Searchbox libraries are used by 1,000+ React, Vue, React Native, and Flutter projects for building search UIs powered by Elasticsearch.
Starting today, these libraries allow creating search UIs with first-class support not just for Elasticsearch, but also for OpenSearch, MongoDB Atlas Search and Solr.
UI Builder
UI Builder takes the process of building search UIs one step further by offering a point-and-click control plane for creating search UIs and recommendation UIs with no-code.
We're coming up with rich templates, ability to add any ReactiveSearch UI components, integration with your own UIs, integrated IDE with version control support, and 1-click deploy support with your domain on the edge! ๐

ReactiveSearch Cloud
With ReactiveSearch Cloud, you can declaratively define search middlewares (aka ReactiveSearch Pipelines), query any search engine, as well as see insights into search engagement and conversions.
ReactiveSearch Cloud also comes with out-of-the-box authentication, security and access control settings to interact with search UIs that are published on the open web, or inside authenticated web or mobile apps.
The future is multi-search
The future of search is one where several general and specialized search engines, APIs and platforms will exist. This isn't too different to how the evolution of database systems has played out over the past 20 years.
Just this past year, search engines like OpenSearch, Zincsearch, Meilisearch, Jina, Typesense got started or gained significant momentum.
With ReactiveSearch, we can't wait to see the future of multi-search unfold!!! ๐คฉ
Coming up next ๐ฒ
For the rest of 2022, we will be working to bring the most advanced search UI builder functionalities, strengthen our current search engines support, as well as add some new ones!
